Displaced
Last time we came back to Ireland, we ran into an Italian friend in the Airport in Rome as she was saying goodbye to her boyfriend. This made us feel very Roman.
On the flight home today, I met an childhood neighbour from Dublin. He was the chief attendant on my flight back. This made me feel very Irish.
(Then he hooked me up with a free lunch, newspaper and drink - this favouritism made me feel very Roman again)
